Why don't I have a cell reception after phone was dropped?

No cell reception after phone was dropped

Ugh! Dropped phone, smashed the back glass, and the cell functionality stopped working. No bars, no signal at all. Wifi, bluetooth, GPS all work fine, and the screen is fine. I removed the broken back glass and there is no visible damage inside. I removed the mid-frame and checked for loose wires and unseated connections, but didn't find anything.

Just on a lark: is there any reason the broken and now missing back itself would kill cell reception? (I'm in the middle of San Francisco, by the way, so it's not my location).

Too bad. It looks like you will have to visit the store to get it repaired. This type of experience explains why I prefer phones with a plastic back.
