I haven't encrypted my s6 but have encrypted my HTC m7 at one point in time. Never had an issue with performance. Only downside I encountered was that not only did you have to enter your normal lock screen password but also enter the encryption password when booting phone after its been off or restarted.

Yes. I also encrypted my S4, but I believe these are different. My S4 definitely saw a slowdown, but word is the S6 doesn't. Just want to hear from someone whom has done it on the S6 before I do.
