how many seconds or minutes is the default alarm clock app supposed to last?

I rarely use my phone to wake me up in the morning.

Last night, the power in my neighborhood went out, so I sent my S6's built-in alarm clock to 7:00AM.

When it went off at 7:00AM, I didn't touch the phone and the alarm stopped about 50 seconds later.

Seems very short to me. I tried it several more times and each time the alarm went off in under 1 minute.

Isn't that barely enough time to wake up a deep sleeper?

The stock alarm on my S6 (SM-G920A) keeps sounding continuously until you interact with the snooze/dismiss prompt. I did a test just to verify my memory prior to posting and it ran for well over five minutes straight until I manually shut it off.
