How can I unlock my S6 if it doesn't recognize my finger print?

AC Question

Unlocking an S6

my Samsung will recognise my finger print in order to unlock my phone and it is requesting a back up password which I do not have. How would I be able to unlock my phone?

Would I need to go into a Samsung store for help?
Please help, this will save me a trip.

Re: Unlocking an S6

Hi, if its recognising your finger print then it won't also require a pin, it will only require a pin if it doesn't recognise your finger print. Take it into a Samsung store and get their opinion.

In order for you to set the finger print lock screen, you HAVE to set a backup password.

There is a password set, you just have to remember what you sat it as.

Keep trying and it will switch to ask your Google play email and password and that unlocks it. It's done this to me twice. It's a bug. Dunno if it's fixed but mine hasn't done this in a while.
