I'm traveling abroad with an Android Samsung Galaxy S6. I've been told to avoid data and international roaming charges, I simply put my phone into "Airplane Mode" the moment I leave and only make calls when I'm on WiFi.
We'll be on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. I called and asked and the entire ship is covered by WiFi. I've never traveled abroad before. And I'd like to have phone access to the states.
In a nutshell, I don't want to come home with a $1000 phone bill, or any extra charges for anything for that matter.
Is that all we need to do?
Does anyone see anything I'm missing?
Thanks for your help,
Dan
