why does my Samsung S6 not respond after being in the cold

when I use the Running app and try to stop the app after a run, the screen will not respond. Sometimes takes up to an hour before I can access phone.

I’ve noticed this as well. We went to the Christmas parade in my town on Sunday night and my screen was unresponsive when trying to use the camera. It was about 35 degrees.

It's an organic screen. Lots of organic materials slow down in 35 degree temperatures or lower. Just warm it up when it gets sluggish.
