Disable calendar events when screen is OFF on Galaxy S6

Hi

I am getting calendar event reminders when my Galaxy S6 screen is OFF. Note this NOT the "lock screen". The problem is that in order to get to the lock screen, I have to press the power switch, then swipe 2 times directly on a red swipe button. That takes me to the lock screen, then I have to swipe again.

I really would prefer to see the calendar events on the Lock screen, but NOT on the "off" screen. But so far, the only thing I've been able to do is disable notifications on both the Lock screen AND the "off" screen.

Anyone know if or how the notifications on the "off" screen can be disabled but leave the notifications on the Lock screen?
