Voice notification of texts and phone calls on SG6?

I can't find this function. Is it not available on the 6? Is there an app I can install that does it? Any help is appreciated. Just got the phone yesterday.

Welcome to Android Central! To clarify--do you mean you want the phone to give you spoken notifications that you have a text, or spoken caller ID notifications of who's calling?

I would like to know if the S6 has the spoken caller id notification. I can do it on my LG G2 but I can't find it on The Samsung S6.

Open the Phone app, tap More>Settings>Answering and Ending Calls. Is there a Voice Control box? Make sure it's unchecked.

Nope not there. I downloaded the app Who's Calling that seems to work.

I think what you're looking for is the CarMode (for Galaxy) app in the Galaxy App Store.

Well I found the setting finally. It is in Google TalkBack which if you turn that on it talks every time you do something on the screen so that is annoying so I turned it off. I just want it to announce the incoming calls. Thanks for the recommendation SDroid but that app seems complicated. Maybe I will try to figure it out later.

Did you try looking for Car Mode in the Galaxy Apps Store, as suggested by galaxyfive?

yes not exactly what I was looking for. I found an app in the app store called Talking Caller ID that works exactly how I want it to work and was easy to figure out. Thanks for all of the suggestions!
