Cannot type letters a and q on my Samsung S6 - even with Google keyboard

When using the keypad for text, entering contact details, email, letters a and q do not react to my touch and cannot be entered - not lower or uppercase. Number 1 works as does shift key. Happens whether phone is in or out of its otterbox, Someone kindly suggested downloading Google keyboard which I did but I am having the same problem whether it is Samsung or Google
