How to retrieve photos off a broken Samsung S6

My new (3 month old) S6 mobile died on holiday in the UK last week. I plugged in to recharge and noted immediately a strange screen, flickering with alternate black and white lines. I immediately disconnected from charge. On my return home I gave it another 10 minutes charge on the supplied fast charger with still the same results. I then plugged into my laptop using the USB cable. It does not recognize the device. Because I was in a remote location with no connectivity I have not been able to backup photos and videos that are extremely sentimental and very valuable to me. I really want to retrieve these, if nothing else. Please could I have some advice on how to proceed? I have been to my mobile service provider who said they would need to 'scrub' the phone to proceed. However, I strongly suspect that this is company policy to restore the phone to working order rather than a priority to retrieve my data.

The device is not being recognised when you connect it into the laptop then you may need to think about sending off to a specialist company that deals in recovering lost data from devices this is not a guarantee method of retrieving data as if the phone is encrypted then there's no way of retrieving the data also most phone companies ie Samsung won't guarantee or won't say that they will recover your data because it's not the responsibility it's responsibility the user to backup data to Cloud
