Do galaxy S6 phones have something to protect them against high voltage?

Ok so I did something really stupid and changed my phone plug but I forgot to buy a plug with a transformer on it so when I plugged in my phone there was like a mini explosion, and now I'm wondering if I will be able to get it fixed? My phone is a galaxy S6... Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Ouch sorry to say but I would think you've probably fried the entire phone

Most chargers handle 90-240 Volts input, and you're not going to find anything higher anywhere in the world available at the wall. I suspect that the charger you bought was defective. If another charger doesn't work in the phone, I'd take the matter up with wherever you bought the defective charger.
