I restarted my phone and now the screen does not respond at all

I was prompted by the Samsung Galaxy 6s health alert that it had been 18 days since I restarted my phone and gave me some compelling reasons to do so. So, I restarted it. When it restarted, I saw a faint white circle to the right of the screen where my Messages from Facebook usually appear (a friend's profile picture). So, I touched it and the screen when sort of dim and now it does not respond to any touch. I can use the hardware buttons (power, and even turn on the camera with the double click) but it does not respond to any screen touch - even to Restart, Power Off, go to Emergency Mode.) I cannot use the phone at all. Any suggestions?

Re: I restarted my phone and now the screen does not respond at all

To force reboot your phone you need to press & hold the Volume down and Power keys for 10-20 seconds. After it restarts go to the app manager, search for an app called Peel Smart Remote and disable it. Tell us how it goes.
