Just for some reason recently I noticed my S6 Edge Plus isn't creating/saving pictures in my gallery when I ask it to. For example when I'm browsing Facebook on my phone & click on a picture I like. Then click the 3 dots on the corner of the screen & click "Save photo" USUALLY it use to save it straight to my gallery under a "Facebook" folder but for some reason something is blocking it & I have to go under "My files, Device Storage, DCIM, Facebook" & all the photos are under there instead?!? How do I get it to just go directly to my gallery vs having to go under my files! Very annoying

Also the same kind of problem when I edit a video with Samsung's video editor. When I save/export a video I just edited it would save it to my gallery under the "Video Editor" folder. But now it does the same thing I mentioned above. & for some reason when I try to move/copy to a folder I have in my gallery I don't see it when I click on that specific folder in my gallery. WHAT GIVES?!?!

Only thing I've done that has to do with my gallery recently is that .Nomedia folder in the BMWgroup for that stupid Pandora icon that always pops up.. I don't know if that has something to do with it? THANK YOU!

download a file manager from app store, set it to show hidden files and look into your folders and see if there are any .nomedia files that should not be there

Anyway you can explain this a little more clear. Is there a certain app you know of in particular. Not to familiar with those type apps & how to find out if there is a .nomedia file. All I know is I did do a .Nomedia folder for that stupid Pandora icon under BMWgroup so Idk if that has to do with anything?

ok. install this
https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ghisler.android.TotalCommander&token=YdaAAxnN
open it go to settings and make sure show hidden files is enabled.
then navigate to that facebook folder and see if there is a .nomedia file in it and delete it.
also remember that this .nomedia file will cause all pics to be hidden from the respective folder AND any subfolders.
so for ex if the folder structure is like
storage/dcim/camera
and you create a .nomedia in the dcim folder then all the pics in dcim AND camera folders will not show in gallery
