Welcome to Android Central! Which carrier? Are you actually able to make and receive calls?

it is normal to show unknown or 000000000 if you have received the sim card as a replacement or a new sim on an extended contract. mine shows 000000000. thats because the contract sim card is blank and they just assign your phone number to it on their side. every time i get a replacement sim card it shows 000000000. only if i use my pre paid sim it shows the actual number.

I really think that depends on where you are and who your provider is. I am on Telus in Canada I have had a replacement SIM and mine still shows my number. Not 0's

Yes, I've seen it both ways on my various devices.
