Hey all,

Upgraded to MM on Friday and can't seen to get any photos or videos to backup to Google

Tried Wi-Fi only, Wi-Fi/Cellular, BT and Wi-Fi both on and off with no luck.
Also tried Google Photos app and the default Gallery, same thing

It just keeps saying, backing up 1 of x and never goes any further

Thanks in advance
Rick

Go to Settings>Accounts-Google>[your account]. Is Google Photos Backup switched on?

If it is, then go to the App Manager, select Google Photos, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it again, and try syncing again.

Hey B. Diddy,

Yes Google Photos Backup is on

I don't have a Clear Cache/Clear Data in App Mgr for Photos but I did a force stop. When I went back in to Phots/Assistant, apparently it backed up about 2 hours ago... I have trying to get it to backup since last night, not sure what is going on

To clear data and cache go to settings>applications>application manager and then under the specific application click storage.

^^This. I keep forgetting that with Marshmallow, there's the extra step of tapping the Storage heading in the App Manager's app page.

Thanks B. Diddy,

It's not highlighted to indicate it's selectable, thought it was just a label and never even tried to select it

Well, prior to clearing the cache, I rebooted my router and now it's working

My wife's Note5 wasn't backing up either so I cleared the cache and all is well

We are all good now

Thanks again
Rick
