Why is my Samsung S6 looping on the Samsung logo after update?

A

AC Question

I recently updated my phone from Android 5 to Android 6.0 (using the system update).
Now when I try to turn my phone on the phone loops the following:-
Screen shows the Samsung logo and then turns off again
Until the battery dies.

I have attempted to access the Recovery Menu (VOLUME UP key while holding the POWER and HOME button) but this just starts the above loop.

The only thing I am able to access is the Odin menu (VOLUME DOWN key while holding the POWER and HOME button).

Does anybody know how to resolve this issue?

The official update seems to have turned my phone into a very expensive brick.

I can provide more information if you require.

Thank you in advance.

This is why having embedded batteries is a pain! You can't even pull it to see if it'll help.

Have you tried starting your phone in Safe Mode? Not sure it'll work, but worth a try. If that doesn't work and you can't even get into recovery, then you might want to take it to your carrier, or a BestBuy if you have one close by, and see if they can do anything. They might need to reflash the OS.
