Router shows up, but will not let me enter wifi password on S7 Edge after pressing connect

My wifi connected and worked just fine on my home netgear nighthawk router. At work today the router shows up under wifi, but when I click connect nothing happens. No prompt to enter the password. I have tried restarting the phone and clearing cache. I also tried unplugging the router and plugging it back in ( it is a sonicwall router). I also tried entering the router and password manually but nothing happened.
