My Galaxy S 7 Edge volume control is not working, how can I get it working?

My Galaxy S 7 Edge volume control is not working

The volume control button to increase the volume works however the decrease button does not. I just purchased this phone about two weeks ago.

Welcome to Android Central! See if the problem goes away in Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-25053. If it doesn't, then the phone is defective. Bring it back to the store and ask for an exchange. If they can't help you, contact Samsung for warranty repair/replacement.

If it still does it in safe mode it does not necessarily mean phone is defective.. it still could easily be software. I have had two 7E's and one had a home button issue and factory re-set fixed it. I would try a factory re-set before going back to store ...
