I just got a new 2016 chevy Impala with Android Auto and I must say that I am impressed. Initial impressions are very positive. One of my concerns was that I wanted to make sure I could listen to XM and still hear audio prompts from Google maps. It works great. Long press the mic button and Google now works great. The screen looks nice too.
My only complaint is that I am limited on music apps that can play music stored on my phone. I'm not a big fan of Google Play Music so I'm giving Amazon Prime music player a try. Those were the only ones I found that play offline music.
Other than the limited music apps I am pleased so far and I am looking forward to using it more. As a road warrior I will get plenty of time with it this week.
