I was curious to see what my battery life would be like on wifi today and wow was I blown away. I have never seen an android device last this long on one charge. Both standby and screen on times are beyond impressive. The battery life on this phone seems to be getting better the more I use the phone. I've had it for a little under two weeks so I guess that the phone really does need a few charges to reach its potential. To say I'm impressed is an understatement

looking good man. Don't let your phone battery go so low. It's not good for the charge cycle. Try charging atleast when you're around 20-30%

do you have exynos or snapdragon. also what is your most used app. I was curious to see, but i can only see till Screen..

The battery lasted so long even an hour and a half usage shows up as only 4% lol.

PS. I have the exynos version

This is why Samsung's octa core Exynos 8890 chipset, manufactured by the South Korean firm, has been dubbed, "The Beast from the East" :)

Yesterday was just a day I wasn't doing much gaming. For some reason I get really into a game then stop playing it after a while xd. I'm from Australia

You can say that again lol. Having experienced the battery life of the S6 makes these number even the more impressive lol

My battery life is nowhere near what most people are reporting on this forum. I'm getting 2:30 on screen time and about 10 hours total time with average to light use.

Which model of Galaxy S7 Edge do you have?

If the time he posted is anything to go by, perhaps he's from the US.

Or Latin/South America or Canada or Asia or just a night worker in Europe or Africa. So, not really an indication of the model of phone I think, wouldn't you agree?

In those screen caps you practically have no cellular signal... barely 1/5. On Verizon, its not even worth leaving cell data turned on... unless I need to download a voice mail or (slowly) receive text message pictures. So I almost always turn off my cell data when I am under my wifi.... this is an an LG-V10, a phone not known for its battery life.

Same here getting about 10 hours something in background is causing Android OS shouldn't be so high wonder if a wipe will sort it out?

Same here

Even when I have my phone using mobile data with the weak signal I still get seven to eight hours of screen on time. I tend to do what you said when I'm using the wifi instead of the mobile data by switching off the mobile data when on wifi. My wifi is very limited because I don't have a landline Internet connection so I only get 16.5gb of wifi per month so eventually I obviously sometimes have to just stick to the mobile data. I tried it on 3G which gave multiple bars of coverage but the battery drained so fast on 3G. I was told once this is because the phone isn't made for 3G coverage so I stick to my weak 4G which still lasts forever lol

Wow, that is extremely impressive! Great to hear/read that you are getting phenomenal battery life!

Wouldn't you agree that the word "perhaps" doesn't mean 'definitely'?

The battery life just keeps getting better on this device. It keeps amazing me with its longevity. Just wow
