Media server causing battery drain?

I've had some battery drain episodes even while charging and the system battery app says media server is using the most power. It resolves with a reboot. Anyone had this experience? Unlocked G935F

There's a relatively recent thread where is was decided it was something to do with using the chrome app. I'd get rid of it and use the samsung browser.

Hmmm getting rid of chrome not really an option for me. I searched here prior to posting. Where is the thread you are talking about?

I noticed today whilst browsing Facebook via chrome that mediaserver was chomping through battery. I switched to using the regular Samsung browser and the battery drain went away. It seems to be an issue thats been around for a long while now, surprised that Google haven't gotten on top of it.
