calls keep breaking up and says im not connected

i may have entered this post twice. sorry if it pops up a second time.
ok i give up. im not normally someone who asks for help but im stuck. i've read some old posts and have been looking on the net but can not find an answer to this,
during a call our voices sound like they are breaking up and some times you miss every other word. when i try to log onto things like pandora it says im not connected to the net.
my wi fi says im connected, mobile data is switched on, data roming in on, i tried turning the airplane mode on and off and i've even reset the network settings.
this is on a new s7 edge. am i missing some kind of setting?
i think this smart phone is smarter than i am.

It could possibly be a bad sim card. Some sim cards are faulty/defective even when new. The store should be able to prove another one and test to see that it works properly. One of my note 7s.thenguy had to try 3 different Sims to get one to work right
