Hi,

Last year I was in Qatar for several months, and I had a S6 Edge. On wifi the phone had issues with text messaging. A +31 showed up in front of numbers and when i texted people it would not go through and I'd have to manually remove it. As it turns out the +31 was some sort of country code for Qatar.

I was just wondering if this is a bug associated with the S6 or should I expect that with the S7 Edge. I had an iphone 4s as a backup phone and did not have an issue with it.

The +31 should not matter in sending SMS. I send SMS with the country code like that and it works whatever phones I use. If it only appears on WiFi you might have enhanced messaging turned on.

If you have assisted dialing turned on, it will insert country codes. I've used my S7e oversees with a local SIM and it's worked out well.
