Stuck on software update

My s7 edge is stuck on software update..... checking for updates. When I go into settings and About Device and tap Download updates manually it says 'connecting to server' ...please wait..... Any ideas please....

Long press the power button until it stops and try restart normally. If it does it again, try wipe cache partition, reboot routine... That fixes most maladies... Failing that, come back and tell us and we'll troubleshoot further

I've occasionally gotten stuck on an update too. I never found a way to fix it, but it's always resolved itself within a day or two. If your problem persists, you can chat with your carrier and ask them to push the update to you.
