Apps remain open when unlocking my phone??

All of a sudden every time I unlock my phone, it opens to the last app I was using rather than the home screen? I have to "Close all apps" for that not to happen. Never had to do that before. Now if I back out of everything, turn off the phone, turn it back on its goes to the last app I was using automatically. Anyone else seeing this?

That is how it is supposed to work. If you want to home screen, you can press the home button. It would be a major PITA if it closed the last app I was using on its own and went back to the home screen every time I unlocked the screen.

No...When I back out of all apps back to the home screen, then shut it off...The next time I press the home button to unlock my phone, I should be on my home screen, not my weather app, or settings page , or textra...This just started happening, & it's really getting annoying...

I dont turn off the phone with an app open, I always shut it off when I'm on the home screen. Yet it keeps opening to an app...This is new to me???

I think I just narrowed it down to a Nova issue...I switched to touch wiz home screen, and it doesn't do it anymore...Hmmm

Strange, never heard of such an issue with Nova. Try something. Go to Nova settings - advanced and make sure that 'aggressive desktop' is off. In the same screen check what you have selected as 'screen lock method', if you have 'timeout' change it to 'device admin'. Restart the phone and see if the problem persists.

Which version do you have? Mine is 5.0.2 and I think that option was included in the 5.0 update. See if there's any update available for Nova in the Play Store.

Yes, it is. You could restart Nova Launcher from the advanced settings and some other basic troubleshooting, such as clearing cached data or wiping the cache partition.
