S7 Edge panel disappears and not sure why?

I just got the T-Mo S7E the other day so I am still figuring the phone out. After I use the battery saver mode and go back to normal power setting, the edge panel indicator disappears. I have also noticed that the edge panel disappears after I use it. Is this a 7.0 bug? I just got this phone Friday so nothing was really setup on 6.0. My previous phone was the Note 5 so I am accustomed to Samsung's menus.
