I wish they would put it back I didn't update to S6 because of the the omission. Still thinking of getting a note edge because it has one and the micro sad card. Samsung truly messed up with dropping ir blaster, micro sad card and removable battery. Might as well get an iPhone.

I have an IR blaster on my S6. They better keep that feature.

I have the ir blaster on gear 2 but there is no decent software to run it. The built in software has hardly any functions. Cannot run a smart tv without more functions.

I never really used the ir blaster, and dont miss it, but someone said on here a while back it is good to use as a tv remote in motels and hotels... i got to thinking about what goes on in some of those places and thats enough to make me want an ir blaster!

Yup... Very useful in these kind of environments
