How's the battery life of the S7 compared to the S7 Edge?

What's your usual SOT with s7? I have s7 edge right now and everything is superb! But I feel it's kinda big for my hand and I'm thinking switching to S7 if battery life is decent

I think it's amazing. For the first time since owning a touch screen phone I was able to do 24 hours without a charge and without power saving mode. I used the phone less than normal that day obviously but even when I barely used the S6 the battery would drop. Very happy with that aspect.

Its pretty good. It is the best battery life I have had on phone with a stock battery. I typically get 3-4 hours on screen time after 16 hours and plugging it in at 30+% . I got hooked on a new game Saturday and played it alot , still got 13 hours out of the battery and 7 and half hours on screen time. So....that is really good for me.

My battery life was great for the first few days, but now it seems to drop very quickly whenever the screen is on. I watched that percentage number fall so quickly when I was using it, I turned off the battery percentage indicator to keep me from being neurotic about it.

I eventually uninstalled a few apps I had recently installed, but the battery seems to quickly drain. It was fine when I first got it, but the minute I started installing apps, it went south. Please know that I'm conscious but not hyper-controlling of my battery life, so I have social media and email apps syncing every few hours or daily (rather than like 15 minutes) with very few push notifications turned on. Something about the system software is keeping the phone awake, or the screen is just taking it down. I dropped 10% in about 20 minutes of using it, which is a little over 3 hours of SoT, but it makes me incredibly nervous how different the battery life has been from day one to day four. When I first got the phone, I went two days without charging it, but then literally a few days later I couldn't make it to the end of the day. Bizarre

I have both and the battery on the Edge definitely drains slower than the ordinary S7. I have them doing exactly the same things most days. Still never get below 40% on either of them by the end of the day.

I'm currently getting 6+ hrs of sot on mine. It's my forth day so hopefully it gets a tad better but I'm happy with what I'm getting now

What version of the S7 do all of you have? I have the US version with the Snapdragon processor (Verizon), and from some postings here and on XDA, there appears to be a big difference, with the Exynos ones far better. Mine is about 18 hrs-20 hrs with 2.5-3hrs SOT (if I make limited phone calls). Yesterday I had only 14 hours with 2:15 SOT, but had 2 hrs of phone calls.

I generally have everything turned on except wifi/bt scanning and AOD.

I got an exynos processor powered s7 and so far it's been pretty damn good! My main driver is an iphone 6s+ and it's mostly keeping up easily with it. 4.5+ SOT very easily and over a day of standby, on band 40 LTE. It took a few charges to settled as expected, but its been stellar so far.

I have both and for my usage the S7 edge gives me about 1 hour more of SoT than the S7. The S7 has an excellent battery life but the 3600 mAh battery on the edge makes it a beast, just in another level.

I had an edge before I swapped to the S7, edge would get me easy 6.5-7.5 hours SoT with room to spare , so far I have only had the S7 for two days but I am estimating I can get around 6 hours SoT.

It's like 1-1.5 hours SoT per 20% on the S7. This all depends on what you are doing obviously :)

Here is my usage today which has been a lighter than average day and I have been on WiFi all day.

Galaxy S7 snapdragon (non-edge)

Pushed it a bit too far, down to 5% before I got to a charger. 22 hours total, 6 hours 45 mins screen on. I have battery saving mode set to come on at 15%
