On my S4 I was able to create a button through contacts that allowed me to call my wife with a single tap. Very convenient. I do not see that option now in contacts on the S7 (or perhaps gone in marshmallow?). Is this option hidden elsewhere or gone? Any apps to simulate the effect?

Re: quick dual option gone?

It's still there. You have to long-press on a blank spot on one of your home pages, then select "Widgets." From there, find the "Contacts" widget folder; there are three options: Contact info, Direct Dial, and Direct Message. Just select (long-press) over the DirectDial shortcut, and place it on the home page.

There was also once a widget available out there that when you clicked on the contact widget it would then expand to give you options such as dial, message, or maps. Am I completely mistaken about that widget? Perhaps it is a different flavor of Android that I had back in the day?
