How can I retirieve my contacts and photos from broken S7?

My S7 was run over in a parking lot and I would really love to retrieve my photos and contacts from my old phone (particularly photos as my sons birth photos are on there). The screen is completely broken and I cannot see anything.

I've tried android transfer and remotely unlocking my screen but that doesn't seem to work. Is there anything else I can do??

I'm confused. This page says that it will wipe all data from the phone....How can I use this to get access to my contacts, photos, and such?

There are free services that will keep photos contacts backed up to cloud so no reason not to. Google Drive and One Drive from MS. Lacking that?

You're assuming that the phone otherwise works ok.
