problem with selfie pictures

when my wife takes a selfie the little preview screen shows the picture correctly but when she goes to look at it, it is all dark red and her face looks almost infrared. any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! If you transfer the actual photo file to your computer and view it there, is it still like that? Are the photos saving to Internal Storage or the microSD card?

SD cards (and the files that are saved to them) are more prone to corruption and failure compared with onboard internal storage. You can try using a different SD card to see if the same thing happens.

There are others who have a similar problem. A reboot cures for some and others have had to reset the phone.
