Check out my custom cooling pad for my Galaxy S7. It keeps it cool while charging the phone to help with battery life and longevity. We all know Quick Charge 2.0 can generate a LOT of heat. My phone averages 80 degrees or less when charging. If they have laptop cooling pads, why not make one for smartphones?

Here's how I made it. I used the following materials:

• Generic Laptop Cooling pad from eBay - $2.37

• Metal business card holder from the dollar store - $1

• Mini sized cable ties

• USB extention cord

• Extra USB wall charger

Instructions:

Set the cooling pad on the business card holder and then tie it down securely with the mini cable ties, looping the cable through the holes of the card holder. Attach the USB extention cord to the cooling pad and plug it into the AC adapter. Plug it in and the fan will start. There should be enough space for the phone to set down horizontally. And that's it! It also serves as a phone stand too. Enjoy!
