Really not missing anything... once you learn what is possible with Android the sky is the limit! I think that is the biggest problem with people that switch from iPhone to any other Android. They don't want to take the time to learn since they really didn't have to learn much with iPhone. Seriously a little time and you can make your phone yours. Way more functionality and depending on what brand of Android phone you get there are other added goodies such as IR blaster (seems to be going away), SD Card, Camera, Samsung pay which even works on credit card strip readers and VR!

This....& someone posted this the other night. Cannot remember the user name who posted it or would give the credit to them.
But for S7/S7E owners that have not watched, it is time well spent.

You got that right Snappy, my significant other just got new iPhone and the file transfer process has been a nightmare! The entire setup had been to be honest, login credentials not accepted, having to change ruddy password etc... I'm well over it

Curious as to what exactly lightflow can't do for you that iOS can?
It can control vibration, sounds, repeat sounds or vibration, and a few other things.
Either it is too much work, or hidden and no, I've tinkered and played with for an hour looking to setup custom notifications for an app as far as what I wanted.

Do you like fiddling and hours spent researching?

》 App's icon notification badge is an iOS pattern and it should not be used in Android apps anyway. In Andrioid there is a status bar notifications for these purposes:

It doesn't take hours researching to get custom notifications, at least in my experience. Getting badges is as simple as slapping a new launcher that supports it onto the phone. Getting custom notifications is as simple as activating Lightflow and going into the notification's settings.

Android has always been for the tinkerer. That's how it has always been since it started.

The difference why everything appears to be baked into iOS is that they want control over how everything in their phones behave. Android mentality is how it lets the app devs and manufacturers do with their phone how they want their phones to behave. Third party apps that have deeper control over the phone than most things found on iOS is one of the main attractions to Android: the open environment that lets you tinker with the phone.

I don't miss anything from IOS (APPLE). I was with Apple for about 5 years cause my 1st android phone was a disaster. So i was skeptical about going back to android. But i was so tired of having to use Itunes for adding my music and photos. It has always messed up my music and i spent hours fixing it just to get messed up again during the next update. I have even lost music that has never been recovered. With Android it is so easy, just connect it to your computer and drag and drop your music. And POOF your done. So easy. Also every time i got a new Iphone i was bored with it and ready for a new one after only about 2 months. I have had my Samsung Galaxy S7 now since launch day back in March and i still Love it. I am no where near the point where i want or need a new phone. I think i will be hanging on to this one for a while. I love this phone. This is the 1st time i can say that out of any phone i have ever had.
