Can't backup to correct keypad entry on my Samsung S7

If I call a number that answers with a recording it may ask me to enter a number, like my card number. So I select the keypad icon to bring up the keypad and begin entering. But there's no <X symbol to back up so if I enter a wrong digit there's no way to correct it.

Even if you use the back key it would not help. Those type of systems use tones to detect what numbers you are pressing.

Edit: I apologize if I misunderstood you, but you do not need to use the back key in this instance.

Oh BTW, the back key is not on the keypad itself. It is located just to the right of the number you entered.
