Is my phone still water resistant after crack?

I have a Galaxy s7. I recently cracked my phone and I'm wondering if it's still water resistant. It's only a hairline crack, it's right over the tabs button.

This is a really good question!

I don't want to speculate on an answer. I would highly recommend maybe contacting Samsung directly on this one. When dealing with the longevity of a device you can never be too careful. Hard to say if water would seep into that crack and potentially cause an issue.

While I know customer service can be rather annoying, it would be worth having a firm answer from the manufacturer. Ask for a level 2 tech or a manager. I would assume they would probably tell you no based on it has damage, but it's worth checking into!

No. You have broken a seal.
Water damage is not covered under warranty broken or not. Somewhat annoying but understandable.
