Otterbox Defender - Belt clip removal...help!!!

I just got a new samsung galaxy 8+ and an otterbox defender case. I opened it to find that it has a belt clip that I really don't want but I can't seem to remove it. Is there a way??? HELP!

Little confused about what you mean. The S8+ has a HOLSTER that has a belt clip attached to the holster.
The belt clip can't be removed from the holster, but you can simply just not use the holster?

With the last few editions of the Defender, I have removed the case from the holster and put the holster in a drawer. I now carry my Galaxy S devices in my pocket. The GS8 has IP68 water and dust resistance. The Defender goes a step further and has port covers to keep dust and debris out.

Yeah, as mentioned, the belt clip is attached to the holster, which is a separate accessory that is not connected to the actual case itself.
