I had a talk with a Samsung employee (got to try both phones, one word: Awesome) and he told me that the Bixby button will be customizable through an update.Anyone know if we could choose to turn off Bixby, and/or reprogram its dedicated button, since ya know, Bixby is completely redundant on an Android phone?

It is because they are trying to beat Google at one of Google's core competencies and given their track record it is highly unlikely they will succeed. This is the same company that delivered S voice.
Why they dump which must be considerable resources into development of these kinds of things is beyond me. I won't even try this!
