Why notifications are not displaying details in Galaxy S8+?

I recently purchased S8+. I was owning OnePlus and used to Android phone.
The biggest issue I am facing is with notifications. In my older phone, and other Android phones (S6, Nexus 6 etc.) I have seen that when email or text is received, notification shows up & content is displayed. even on locked screen you can see notification with content.

On S8+, I have made sure notification is on for email & messages applications, display content is also ON, but when I receive a message I get sound & a small icon of the app which received notification - no pop-up or notification with content.

Settings --> Notifications --> All apps is ON
Settings --> Notifications --> GMail
1. Allow Notification is ON
2. Show Silently is OFF
3. On lock screen is 'Show content'
4. Set as priority is off

Lock Screen And Security --> Notification --> ON
Hide Content is OFF
Notification icons only is OFF

I called Samsung technical support and spent 45 minutes but in vain. She finally said they might have taken out this feature in S8.

Any help?

I think I also have this problem ( if to call it a problem)
when I get a message all I hear is a sound. ( no visual when phone is locked :-/)

I've installed heads up notification App.

Did you have an additional/new info ?

Royi, i still have the problem. I called Samsung support and they had no idea. She finally said 'may be that feature is removed now'.

I don't know any S8 or S8+ owner who can confirm that they get messages / notifications on locked screen and see content
