Should I sell International S3 for North American

Hi,

I have been debating if I should sell the International variant for the North American.

I have LTE in my area, for people that have used both is there any difference in the daily usage of the phones. The quad core Exynos is extremely smooth, was always worried that the dual core S4 would not be as silky smooth, but LTE is great also.

Would appreciate feed back

Lol honestly youre not going to be able to tell the difference smooth-wise. If you have LTE then youre basically choosing LTE vs Exynos.
I would take the NA because LTE vs HSPA+ is a more prominent difference than Exynos vs s4 but to each his own.

Hmm good point, question for you do you know if I get the Rogers S3 and unlock it will it work internationally if I travel?

Thats all depending on where you plan on traveling.

Of course it should work... Why wouldn't it?

It all comes down to, what you need the quad-core version for? Sure it can handle games or gpu intensive apps better but it has half the ram, and no LTE.

The S4 is no slouch, and should easily carry your workload for the next few years. Remember, in less than a year, the galaxy s4 will be out, it'll probably be an improved quad-core and will most likely have LTE.

Day to day usage should almost be identical, however when it comes to pure graphical power, its not really close.

On my GS3, I tried to run the pop up video function, and the phone almost grounded to halt in lag. The international version not only ran the video, but was able to play Dead Trigger at the same time with barely any stutter.

But LTE is really nice to have.

I wouldn't bother buying a new phone. Yes LTE is undeniably faster... but it also cuts my battery life by several hours. I have an LTE capable S3 and still I'm using it on just 4G.

If you really want LTE go for it... but otherwise I don't see the point. And the 4G access isn't exactly slow either.

And yet the LTE version get's better battery life than the quad-core version. I have my LTE on almost all the time, along with WiFi and the majority of the battery life is still taken down by the screen more than the radio.

How can you not see the point in an LTE phone with 2 gb of ram as opposed to a quad-core phone with no LTE and only 1 gb? I get 30-40 mbps with my LTE network. That's almost double my home wifi. The 2 gb of ram means multitasking is butter smooth, virtually no lag. I still get a great lag-free experience from even the most demanding games. What would having the quad-core do for you? My friend foolishly bought one unlocked. Sure he gets a higher quadrant score than me, but when he's getting 7-16 mbps speeds only, and his ram is usually maxed up and his battery life is slightly behind mine, who really wins?

think the battery life depends on how strong the LTE signal is but i totaly agree and im on the international

I was in Europe when the S3 became available. So tempted to bring it home before anyone had it, but LTE can peak at 50+ down in certain areas where I live. No brainer to wait.

Even if you don't live in an area w/that speed, if I might do any traveling to places that do, I'd want the device that can take advantage of it.
