So it's official now: the International version of the Galaxy S3 is getting Jelly Bean next week. Great news, Samsung is pushing it through in record time. What do you think this means for carriers in the US and Canada? Now that it`s official for the international market, how long do you think it'll be before North America gets some love?

It will be a few weeks to a month+ before we see it is my guess.

I plan on getting an international GS3 today and rooting it. What options does this leave me with? I don't plan on waiting for any carrier to release an update.

PS I've already downloaded Omega AOKP and plan on flashing that for the time being (anyone tried it out?)

I'm actually not in the US sorry. If it does come from Samsung how do I get it? I'm fairly inexperienced when it comes to Android

where do u live? im assuming it will be an over the air update or downloadable from Kies. you shouldnt have to root or flash anything

...Kies is the software suite for ur computer btw. it can do backups + stuff and put updates on the phone. when u get the phone, itl probly need updated so go to About Device, check for updates and u should get them over the air

I updated to the newest leak tonight while writing my Odin guide and I have to say it is AWSOME all of the bugs seem to be gone, it seems to be faster aswell somehow. I'm going to update this thread Big JellyBean OTA discussion thread with a video of it tomorrow. If I can find my camera ........

can u try n fix the link for us please? im more interested in smothness too mate but what i REALLY want is improved home screen re-write when returnin from heavy apps.. browser etc because im talkin like 2seconds here sometimes before my folders fill up!
