So, i've had this issue since i bought my phone, whenever i connect it to my PC in Media transfer mode (MTP), windows won't recognize it, it won't show up at all, so can't use the phone in Kies, if i connect it as a camera it has no issue being recognized, i reinstalled the drivers an infinite amount of times, i googled the problem and i haven't found an answer yet, usually what did the trick was reinstalling the drivers through Kies troubleshooting, then connecting the device in USB debugging mode, disconneting it and then if i connected it again, it worked, but now it's getting worse, it won't get recognized at all, no matter what I do, please take in consideration that i'm running Windows 8 x64, i tried connecting a friends' S3 and it had the same issue, so i'm guessing it's a windows problem..?

Do you receive the "Hardware ID doesn't match" error or does nothing happen at all upon connection?
