Reverse Tether with HTTP Proxy
I am currently in my college hostel, where I connect my laptop to the internet with an ethernet connection. The Internet connection uses an HTTP proxy to connect to the internet. Now, when I try to connect my phone to the laptop's internet connection via reverse tethering (using the Reverse Tether app), the connection fails because internet connectivity on the laptop could not be determined. Is there any way to bypass this restriction and get internet connection on my phone? The phone is rooted, of course.
PS: My phone and laptop work perfectly fine at my home using this method, where the internet connection doesn't use a proxy. - 01-05-2013, 04:50 AM #2
