U sure its not saveable?
I duno how deep the samsung techs dig but if its not goin showin any signs of life, u might get away with it mate.
Rooting does void the warranty, though

If they can't turn it on they can't tell why its bricked so you should be ok. The alternative is having it sent out to be fixed by means of jtag.
