I use the Nova Prime launcher. I find it easy to configure but I'm looking for alternative and more minimalistic ones to try out. They have to be very stable and slick (no lag). Any suggestions?

Atom Launcher is minimalistic and really looks good. It is also every bit as quick as Nova if not quicker. Here are a few screen shots.

There's no such things as the "best" launcher. There are number of good launchers, and what's "best" is very subjective. It's like asking "What's the 'best' flavor of ice cream?" What's best for me might not suit you at all. Most of the launchers have free versions, so try them out and see what you like.

Apex launcher is the best one. Does landscape and is simple and clean. Includes a backup and restore option too.
