Samsung galaxys3 i9300 screen lock security pin wouldnt open

Hello everyone, I set up the screen lock(security pin) on my i9300 but immidiately after doing that, the phone refuse to open and damn right the pin I used is the right pin.
**I used the ***emergency dial + home button + power button*** but all I get is a 1/4second glimpse of the home screen. But same method opened the phone in SAFE MODE. Help help help.. thanks

If you can't get past the pin lock, I don't think there's any way to fix it but to boot into recovery and do a factory reset.
