    Default wifi issue obtaining ip address

    i have 2 routers in my house one is upstairs and the other one is downstairs. When i connect my phone to wifi which is downstairs it connects very fast but when i try to connect my phone to wifi which is upstairs it keeps on saying obtaining ip address please tell me how can i resolve this issue.

    Is one of the routers set up as a repeater?
    Or are they configured with different SSIDs?
