Movies Hub on the VZW GT 10.1

It was nice to see that the Verizon model of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 came with both the Media Hub and the Videos Applications pre-installed. They even threw a $25 Media Hub credit in to the box.

I am sure the WiFi Tab 10.1 will receive the Media Hub post the August 3rd updates as well.

I have used the Media Hub on the 7" tab as well as the Droid Charge and renting/watching movies has been a painless process using this service.

Anyone rented and watched a moving on the Verizon 10.1 Tab as of yet? How was it?

Not yet, but I plan on redeeming that credit soon. Not sure which film, though...

did you wait for the LTE version or you have both wifi and LTE

I have the Charge and bought a ton of movies. They all transferred to the Tab. Watching movies on it is a dream.

The movies hub is a samsung thing, so it will come with touchwiz.
The Google videos app can be sideloaded, seems to be fine on my GT 10.1, but I haven't rented anything yet. I may just test it with a .99 center.

I rented a video using the side loaded video application.
Rental worked fine for far. Dowloading the movie now for offline viewing. The it locked up during offline setup but after a reboot everything is going well. I'll test the play back next week on my trip.

From the Samsung Media Hub...
I downloaded a single episode of SOA, didn't want to go spending to much to find out it doesn't work or there is a glitch.
It works great and the video quality is sweet!
Cheaper than iTunes too! 1.99 vs 2.99 for the same exact episode.
Now to decide how to spend the rest of my $25.00 from Samsung... lol...
