Browser update?

I bought a galaxy 10.1 wifi when it 1st came out. Last week I bought a Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 for our sales department and noticed that the default built in browser has options that the WIFI only one doesn't like being able to open website in desktop or mobile mode. It looks like both tablets are running Android 3.1 so is there a way to update built in apps?

Plug about:debug into the URL bar and see if the settings are there then.
