Best file sync?
I sure miss being able to just plug in a USB cable and copy/paste but Software Data Cable solved that for me for until recently.
How do you move files between your Win 7 and your GTab? Kies kinda sucks....real picky about file types and locations. Is there another option?
I need to be able to move .pdf, .txt, .doc, etc to specific folders. - 10-30-2011, 07:22 PM #2

Re: Best file sync?
I did a little searching and found a reference to File Expert by rebornr. Installed File Expert on my Tab. Then watched a tutorial vid on youtube. FTTP works just fine. FTP not connecting. Acts the same with Software data cable. I think FTP access has somehow been disabled.
So like in the vid, I installed Filezilla client and everything works.
I already use Dropbox. It has some limitations. The main one being most apps can't use a Dropbox folder as a data folder. So I have to copy/paste on the Tab, more of a pain than copy/paste on a PC. - 10-31-2011, 10:08 AM #6

Re: Best file sync?
Hey, that works great! The only downside with File Expert is that the http address changes every time. Although Wifi File Transfer doesn't work as a file manager (on the tab side) the transfer part is actually easier because it only does the one thing and does it well. Thanks!
