    Default Best file sync?

I sure miss being able to just plug in a USB cable and copy/paste but Software Data Cable solved that for me for until recently.

How do you move files between your Win 7 and your GTab? Kies kinda sucks....real picky about file types and locations. Is there another option?

I need to be able to move .pdf, .txt, .doc, etc to specific folders.

I did a little searching and found a reference to File Expert by rebornr. Installed File Expert on my Tab. Then watched a tutorial vid on youtube. FTTP works just fine. FTP not connecting. Acts the same with Software data cable. I think FTP access has somehow been disabled.

So like in the vid, I installed Filezilla client and everything works.

I already use Dropbox. It has some limitations. The main one being most apps can't use a Dropbox folder as a data folder. So I have to copy/paste on the Tab, more of a pain than copy/paste on a PC.

I've installed the free version of ES file explorer. It finds the shared folders on my win7 machine (by IP address), and I move files over my wireless network.

Did you try the web sharing feature? A bit easier than the FTP function because you can use the browser instead of firing up a FTP application. Just need to type in the IP address that File Expert provides.

I briefly looked at it. I'll give it a good test run ASAP.

I've been using "Wifi File Transfer Pro" its in the market.

It works through your browser of choice by generating a http web address. Then you just email it to yourself (right from the app) and click the link or enter it manually into your browsers address bar. And it brings up a web page where you can do just about everything that you can do with your Tab plugged in using usb.

It always generates the same http address so I just bookmarked it, and when ever I need to transfer anything from my Tab to my laptop or vice versa. Also it transfers files really fast. Takes like 2 minutes to transfer a full HD movie.

Another plus is that it'll work on any laptop, PC even your phone. No need to carry around a cable to grab a file, movie or wallpaper off a buddies laptop or phone.

    Here's the market link:

Hey, that works great! The only downside with File Expert is that the http address changes every time. Although Wifi File Transfer doesn't work as a file manager (on the tab side) the transfer part is actually easier because it only does the one thing and does it well. Thanks!
