can't update apps in market

The new market won't show all my apps, just the same 8. Every now and then it will show others. If I download a new app it installs and disappears from the list...

The big problem with this known bug in market is that I can't update apps...

Even if I use app brain and see apps need to update and click on them I don't get an update button in the market just an open button...

The galaxy tab will give me a notification that apps need updating but when I click the notification and it goes into the market it doesn't show the apps that need updating...

I have tried to contact google about these issues (which I also have with my droid) and they just say it's a bug...

I've had the same happen a couple of times on my HTC Desire, I can't remember the exact steps to solve the issue but it invovled clearing out the cache and data from the market and then some other steps...............a Google search will provide the answer
